ACRA's New Mandatory Course and Proficiency Test for Registered Filing Agents

ACRA has introduced a mandatory half-day Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism ('AML/CFT') course and a proficiency test for Registered Filing Agents ('RFAs').

With effect from 15 November 2018, anyone seeking to register as a RFA or renew their registration will be required to complete the prescribed AML/CFT course and proficiency test. At least one director or owner or partner of the RFA must attend the course, at a fee of $200. Upon completion of the prescribed course, RFAs will have to complete and pass an online proficiency test at a cost of $45 per attempt. The fees for the above are on a cost recovery basis.
